This morning LG announced the launch of two affordable smartphones from the brand in Europe and Latin America.
The LG K40s and LG K50s are now available in Italy, Spain, Poland as well as in Brazil, Mexico and Panama.
The LG K50s has a 6.5-inch HD+ display and a 4000 mAh battery. The LG K40s has a 6.1-inch HD+ display and a 3500 mAh battery.
Both models are based on a Helio P22 chipset with a 2GHz octa-core CPU, 2/3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. They also run on Android 9.0 Pie.
The camera department are almost identical as well and include a 13MP selfie snapper, a 13MP main rear camera and a 5MP ultra-wide unit.
In addition, the K50s has a third rear shooter - a 2MP depth-sensing unit. The devices will cost around US$ 200.
Along with this announcement, LG confirmed that it will source out the production of its mid-range smartphones to other companies in order to focus on internal strengths and competences.
Next year, it will also up its game by updating its usual low-end smartphones to mid-range ones.
